I had a great day with my mom and little brother.
After attending their church with them and staying for a youth fundraiser lunch, we headed to Channelside to see the movie "Defiance". What a moving true story!! It was heart-wrenching and powerful. I told my mom what I have thought many times--- how God's heart must have been so broken when His chosen people (the Jews) were slaughtered!
After the movie, we enjoyed a lazy afternoon and evening, and it was just so nice to be together. I made a dip Josh and I call "Paul's Dip", after our friends Paul and Sonya, and Nick and I watched a little of "Mr. Mom" together, and then he begged to watch Smokey and the Bandit.
I was so sure I would be bored stiff, but didn't mind watching it with him, so I told him I would. Surprisingly, I thought it was pretty funny and cute, and it was fun to watch it with Nick.
As I head off to bed, I think I'll take advantage of the chance to read before I fall asleep, like I did in my single days. I've done it for the past couple of nights and it has been nice--- although, of course, I would trade it in a heartbeat to be with Josh and Emily!
